Vanadzor American Corner hosts Ambassador John Heffern and his family

On December 27, 2011 the Vanadzor American Corner hosted Ambassador John Heffern, his wife, Libby, and two of their daughters, Ally and Lucy. The Ambassador and his family read story books to school children from Vanadzor, toured the library, and met library staff and local English teachers.
More than 20 school students and three teachers from Vanadzor different schools were waiting for Mrs. Libby who read different stories for middle school students such as “How do dinosaurs say good night?”, “The rain came down,” “Caps for sale” and so on. Mrs. Libby asked one of the participants to read a book for the audience and a volunteer read “The very hungry caterpillar” by Eric Carle.
After short tour at Lori regional library the Ambassador John Heffern joined to the group of young readers. He read a story about “Silly Sally” for them. The inspiration of the children was indescribable; the atmosphere in American corner was very hearty and free.
